Herbal Medicine for Hair Loss - What's the true fact? Effective or Not?

Herbal medicine and treatments have been around for thousands of years and have been shown to be effective in treating many types of ailments. Hair loss is an area where herbal treatments have shown much promise.  Though not a life-threatening ailment, hair loss can pose very serious social problems for both men and women.  Those afflicted with hair loss spend billions of dollars yearly on drugs, shampoos, surgeries, and vitamins, looking for ways to bring their hair back.

Of all the drugs on the market claiming to cure hair loss, only two have found their way on to the FDA approval list – Minoxidl (Rogaine) and Propecia (Finasteride).  Though both of these drugs have shown to have positive effects on hair loss, they do not work on everyone.  Furthermore, the long-term effects and the potential side effects are still unknown.  Herbal medicines provide an alternative to these types of treatment.

Many herbal remedies that are distributed in markets often contain two or more herbs.  Though they come in many different forms (i.e., pills, tablets, tonics), they have no side effects.  Herbal medicines have been passed down for generations and have been refined over time.  Herbal medicine provide a harmless alternative to conventional medicine and may be the ultimate solution to the battle with hair loss.
